Works have progressed on our residential contract in Chiswick since our last newsletter. The structural steel and roof carcass is on. Currently we are installing a renderflex cement board to the upstands on the roof. This will be then rendered using a Permarock plastering system. The Permarock external insulation system will begin on site soon to the external block walls. With the fibreglass roof and zinc upstands to be completed soon we will be moving inside the building to commence erecting the stud work. We plan to do all 1st fix carpentry, plastering, 1st fix mechanical and electrical works before we do the underfloor heating system to allow the building dry out. The underfloor heating system is going to be constructed with a buildup of a 50mm structural jablite board, 50mm batten on top with a 25mm celotex board and 25mm thermaboard in between. Solid Oak Flooring will be laid on to the 50mm battens. We have to put down a 10mm polymer screed across the whole floor area to tie in the old floor area with the new. This will provide a good platform to work from. As the work proceeds I will keep you updated.
